After consulting with their ICE® representative, Altitude Energy made the smart decision to swap out the heavier equipment for the ICE® 110C Vibratory Driver/Extractor. The 110C is a lighter, more efficient model that weighs in at just under 25,000 lbs—roughly the weight of a school bus—making it ideal for navigating the marshy terrain with minimal disruption.

The ICE® 110C’s precision and power allowed for more exact placement of the barges, ensuring smoother operation with less soil disturbance. With the added benefit of the ICE® 110C’s optimized power-to-weight ratio, the crew was able to handle larger caissons—84" in diameter—quickly and efficiently. In environments like the Florida wetlands, the ability to move with speed and minimal environmental impact is critical, and this partnership between ICE® and Hydrauli-Flex delivered just that.
