Powering Progress at Port Bienville Industrial Park

One such initiative is the remarkable expansion that happened at Port Bienville Industrial Park in Hancock County, Mississippi.

Port Bienville is an economic powerhouse, boasting more than 3,600 acres available for development and already housing 14 major companies. With its strategic location and connections to larger ports, including the Port of New Orleans, the park offers unparalleled access to global markets. It’s a hub for growth, and its continued development is essential to the region’s economy.

To accommodate the growing demands of the port, a large-scale dock construction project is underway. Gil's Crane, a trusted name in heavy construction, was awarded the task of installing a new dock. This massive undertaking involves driving approximately 400 caissons—each 24 inches in diameter and stretching 65 feet into the ground—to create a sturdy foundation.

ICE® Equipment: Built for the Challenge

Key to the success of this project is ICE® (International Construction Equipment) equipment, known for its reliability and performance in demanding environments. An ICE® 14C Vibratory Driver/Extractor was used to drive the caissons deep into the ground. Once in place, the ICE® I-19 Diesel Hammer takes over, driving the piles the final 10 feet to ensure a secure and lasting foundation.

At the core of this operation is the equipment’s systems, powered with Hydrauli-Flex hoses. Manufactured with precision and engineered for durability, Hydrauli-Flex hoses deliver consistent, high-pressure performance to ensure these machines operate efficiently in the harshest conditions.
