Building Boston's Future: The Fenway Center Project
At The Hose Company, we take immense pride in knowing that our Hydrauli-Flex hoses have played a pivotal role in transformative projects like Boston’s Fenway Center. As the makers of Hydrauli-Flex, we deliver products engineered for performance and reliability, enabling groundbreaking achievements in construction and infrastructure development.
Fenway Center: A New Era for Boston
The Fenway Center Project is a landmark undertaking—the first “over-the-Pike” development in nearly four decades. Encompassing 2.1 million square feet across 5.32 acres, this ambitious project aims to create a dynamic multipurpose space above the Massachusetts Turnpike near Fenway Park. With plans for a two-acre deck and a 350-foot tower, the project will breathe new life into the Fenway area, connecting Brookline Avenue and Beacon Street, two neighborhoods long divided by the Pike.
The Role of J.F. White and ICE® Equipment
Phase II of the Fenway Center Project, managed by J.F. White, includes the Deck and Foundation package. This phase focuses on constructing a $200 million steel deck that will serve as the foundation for upcoming life-science buildings, walking paths, and parking facilities. The deck is a cornerstone of Boston’s vision for a thriving and interconnected community.
To tackle this complex and high-stakes project, J.F. White utilized two ICE® 44E Vibratory Hammers and two ICE® IP-7 Hydraulic Hammers. These tools were essential for installing sheet piling and HP-14x117 beams to form excavation systems adjacent to Interstate 90 and the MBTA Commuter Rail tracks. The ICE® 44Es provided an impressive driving force of 207 tons, while the ICE® IP-7s ensured the beams reached their maximum depth with precision.
Hydrauli-Flex: Powering Excellence
Behind the scenes of this monumental effort, Hydrauli-Flex hoses played a critical role in powering the ICE® equipment. Designed to endure the most demanding conditions, our hoses ensure the smooth operation of vibratory and hydraulic hammers, delivering the power and reliability necessary to meet the challenges of modern construction.
Hydrauli-Flex hoses are built to withstand high pressures, extreme temperatures, and intense vibrations, making them the perfect choice for projects of this magnitude. Our commitment to quality craftsmanship and innovation has earned us the trust of industry leaders like ICE®, enabling us to contribute to Boston’s growth and transformation.
A Shared Vision for Progress
As Boston prepares to welcome new life-science facilities, vibrant public spaces, and improved connectivity, The Hose Company is honored to be part of this transformative journey. We extend our congratulations to J.F. White and ICE® for their outstanding work in making the Fenway Center Project a reality. This collaboration exemplifies the power of engineering excellence and community-focused development.
At The Hose Company, we remain committed to supporting ambitious projects that redefine what’s possible. Hydrauli-Flex hoses are more than just components—they are enablers of progress, innovation, and a brighter future for cities like Boston.
Let’s continue building together.
