In this particular case, H.G. Harders chose to use ICE® HS-50 drilling rigs and ICE® I-46 Diesel Impact Hammers for the heavy lifting. The ICE® HS-50 drilling rig was used to pre-drill for the 30" concrete piles, ensuring that the foundation for the new bridge would be solid and secure. These massive piles, driven 40 feet deep into the ground, provide the stability needed to withstand the forces of both nature and traffic.
